It's been too long!

So, it's been forever. Let me give a quick run down of our lives.

* Daryl loves working for Dr. Wilson and often reminds me that he gets to laugh at work all day long.
* I got promoted to Radiology Manager in July. WOW....what a challenge. I love it. I mess up all the time, but I am learning SO much and wouldn't trade it for anything.
* We moved back into our house over Labor Day weekend. I didn't realize just how much I missed my home. It has been so much fun unpacking and finding all of the things we haven't seen in a year and a half!
* We still love living in St. Johns. I LOVE THIS PLACE! St. Johns people are just so nice...or at least the ones in our ward ;)
* Daryl thinks he is hungry for a baby....uh oh! We will start getting really serious about fostering/adopting within the next year. I have to admit, after moving back into our house, I am a bit baby hungry myself. I told Daryl that I had a dream the other night that we got a 9 year old girl for our first foster kid and it was so much fun!

We are doing well. I have to say, Daryl is the best husband and best friend I could have ever asked for. He just loves me no matter what and there have been days when I wonder how the heck he puts up with me. But he does and I am so grateful! I am blessed to have him in my life.

A Quickie!

Ok, so I totally suck at blogging. Just a quick note to catch you up (for all 2 of you who might read my blog). I have been working a TON! (I mean a TON! We are talking 60+ hours a week and another 60 or so on-call) They fired half of our staff, which leaves 2 techs for 3 modalities to cover 24/7. I am still young and fairly energetic and the other tech is old and cranky....but I still love him! So you can imagine how much fun we are having. (Actually, it's better now than it was with more techs here). My old boss ...who I could NOT get along with to save my life got fired :) and I am now working under Joe, who I have worked for in the past. I recently put in for a promotion within my department and found out Monday that I GOT IT! I am now officially Radiology Supervisor! Scary huh? I love it! It's already a lot of work, but I am learning so much!
Daryl will be done with his clinicals in just a few days and has somewhat of a job offer from the physician that he has been working with. So cross your fingers and pray for us that we can make it through this!
Christmas is coming all too quick and with me working so much, I am not even close to having my Christmas projects done....o well. I will figure something out.
I miss everyone and I REALLY miss relaxing! But all of this hard work will pay off someday....even more than it already is! Hope everyone is having a fabulous December! Can't wait for the big day...I asked for a camera in order to enhance my blogging experience ;)

The Lake / My NaNa

So a couple of weeks ago I spent my week in the valley with Daryl. My best friend MaryAnn dropped all of her plans to spend time with us! She is so awesome! We went to the lake and went jet-skiing. Let me tell you....I do not like big bodies of water and under my life jacket my heart was pounding out of my chest when we got to the middle of the lake. However, MaryAnn was SO kind and didn't try to dump me even though Lindsey begged her too! Needless to say, I did not ride with Lindsey!!! LOL. Lindsey is so sweet because it is her jetski and she let us go play all evening on it! I don't know if I would be brave enough to just send people out on my brand new toy. Anywho.....I love it so much that on my second turn out, Daryl and I rode together and when we got way out, he switched spots with me and let me drive!!!! YIKES! It turned out to be such a blast and I definitely can't wait to go again!
As a side note...holy cow my legs are white! But from what I hear that is what they are supposed to look like when you are a white girl!
Ok, now on to my NaNa (I can't wait to get a camera so that this can be more exciting!). I have been spending a lot of time with my NaNa. I am so grateful for that opportunity because she is my only grandparent left and I have always been very close to her. She is one amazing woman, I tell you what! Anyways, she is currently helping me make aprons for some Christmas projects. I know that those of you who are good at sewing are sitting there wondering why someone would need help with an APRON! But trust me, if you saw me sew, you would understand. I am learning a lot though. NaNa was cracking me up the other day because I was ironing and sewing and sewing and ironing. Then I would mess something up big time and I would just start laughing. She would look at me and walk over to ask "Keara Deara Dee, what did you do this time?" HAHAHAHA. She is a perfectionist...and I am SO NOT! So I would say "it's ok...let's just leave it!" And she would say...."my mother always said if anything is worth doing, it's worth doing twice!" I wanted to tell her that her mother was crazy....but I didn't, because come to find out, I think she's right. So I have 1 1/2 aprons done. But more than that, I have just really enjoyed being around her. She is so wonderful and I am so blessed to have these opportunities to spend time with her!

First of all, let me apologize for the pictureless post. Hopefully we will be getting a camera eventually (ours broke!)....so for the time being it's a little bland! I just wanted to give a shout out to my amazing hubby! For those of you who don't know (I'm sure there are a whole 3 people who read my blog ;) ) Daryl is living in Mesa going to school, we are renting our home in St. Johns and I am living with the parental units in Eagar. I spent the last week in the valley with him and we had so much fun! However, when he would go to school and I would be left at the apartment I would sit and wonder...."how does he survive down here"? We are on a very tight budget and so he is living off of a very limited grocery supply along with a care package that his mom and sister made for him with many canned and boxed goods. I opened his fridge and this is what I found: *milk *eggs *cheese *jelly *bbq sauce *mayo *ketchup *bread. Yikes....I like food way too much and I would die! Thankfully, we went to my friend MaryAnn's house and had chicken enchiladas and she sent us home with the leftovers (she was leaving for Egypt the next day!) Also, he has no internet, no cable/satellite....nothing. What does he do? He listens to the radio! He watches an occasional redbox movie. Here's the biggest thing......he doesn't complain EVER. He always tells me he is so grateful that he can go to the grocery store once a week and spend $20 because not everyone is able to do that. Wow... No wonder he is my hero!

So we had family pictures done recently. I have to say, amongst the millions of reasons I am so grateful to have Bonnie as a sister-in-law, the fact that she does such an amazing job with our pictures is right up there at the top of the list! I thought I would share some of the pictures, as these are the most recent of our family!
I also decided to write something I love about each person in my family! Sorry if you get bored ;)
Dad-Strong, Good Example, Always there for you. He taught me so many important things that I use in life.
Mom-Best Friend, Fun, Loving. So many good memories of my teenage years are thanks to my mom!
Allen-Good Father, Reliable, Smart. Makes family the most important thing.
Holly-The person I aspire to be like some day. Kind, Caring, Geniuine
Clif-Dependable, Hard working, Always good for a laugh and smile, always there for me
Bonnie-Loves Clif! Future mother to my newest niece/nephew. Loving, Sweet.
Tashia-How I got so blessed to have such an amazing sister, I will never know. She is there for me no matter what. She is the least judgemental person I know. I love her so much...I don't know what I would do without her!!!
Bryce-So good to Tashia and Caleb, hard working, so much fun to be around
Ashlyn-This girl stole my heart from Day 1. She is the sweetest thing I have ever known. She makes me smile on the days I need it the most!
Amie-Keeps everyone including herself on their toes! Hillarious, Goofy, Fun!
Afton-Another sweetheart. Can't remember that I'm RaRa and not ShaSha! Loves me and hugs me...that makes me special!
Caleb-The second love of my life. Gives the best squeezes and kisses! Is truly a sweet kid...love him so much!
And finally....Daryl, the love of my life. Despite my many flaws and imperfections, he seems to love me anyway. We have had an amazing 5 years with some rather huge challenges...and yet here we are. I love him more and more every day!

Ok, so I've decided to try this blogging thing. We don't have anything exciting to blog about...but it looks like fun. If anyone has hints for me...please feel free to share!
