The Lake / My NaNa

So a couple of weeks ago I spent my week in the valley with Daryl. My best friend MaryAnn dropped all of her plans to spend time with us! She is so awesome! We went to the lake and went jet-skiing. Let me tell you....I do not like big bodies of water and under my life jacket my heart was pounding out of my chest when we got to the middle of the lake. However, MaryAnn was SO kind and didn't try to dump me even though Lindsey begged her too! Needless to say, I did not ride with Lindsey!!! LOL. Lindsey is so sweet because it is her jetski and she let us go play all evening on it! I don't know if I would be brave enough to just send people out on my brand new toy. Anywho.....I love it so much that on my second turn out, Daryl and I rode together and when we got way out, he switched spots with me and let me drive!!!! YIKES! It turned out to be such a blast and I definitely can't wait to go again!
As a side note...holy cow my legs are white! But from what I hear that is what they are supposed to look like when you are a white girl!
Ok, now on to my NaNa (I can't wait to get a camera so that this can be more exciting!). I have been spending a lot of time with my NaNa. I am so grateful for that opportunity because she is my only grandparent left and I have always been very close to her. She is one amazing woman, I tell you what! Anyways, she is currently helping me make aprons for some Christmas projects. I know that those of you who are good at sewing are sitting there wondering why someone would need help with an APRON! But trust me, if you saw me sew, you would understand. I am learning a lot though. NaNa was cracking me up the other day because I was ironing and sewing and sewing and ironing. Then I would mess something up big time and I would just start laughing. She would look at me and walk over to ask "Keara Deara Dee, what did you do this time?" HAHAHAHA. She is a perfectionist...and I am SO NOT! So I would say "it's ok...let's just leave it!" And she would say...."my mother always said if anything is worth doing, it's worth doing twice!" I wanted to tell her that her mother was crazy....but I didn't, because come to find out, I think she's right. So I have 1 1/2 aprons done. But more than that, I have just really enjoyed being around her. She is so wonderful and I am so blessed to have these opportunities to spend time with her!
